What do you get from a career at Hudson New Zealand?
We’re one of the largest specialist agencies in New Zealand, and there’s a reason why our growth and retention is so high. From the small things to the big things, we’ve got you covered.
Work with awesome people
Be yourself in an open and transparent culture, where we’re focused on achieving great results while supporting each other and having fun along the way. We work collaboratively as a team, sharing opportunities, experience and knowledge to help us all achieve even more.
You’ll have the best head-start
Whether you’re new to recruitment or have heaps of experience already, as a new starter you’ll take part in our new interactive training program to help you settle in quickly.
Our leaders are experts in their fields who are passionate about hiring new people and making them successful - they put their heart and soul into helping you be the best you can be. They have the experience to train you into a recruitment jedi in no time!
Know exactly what you’re working towards
Your bonus is uncapped and based off agreed milestones and budgets, so you know that your hard work leads to direct rewards.
We’re big on growing our leaders from within, and offer really clear career milestones for you to meet in order to reach your goal. And if you’d prefer to grow as a specialist, you can still progress and climb the career ladder.
Whether you're senior or brand new, everyone has goals to work towards that set up in a way that's fair. We’re about everyone winning, not just the ‘top-dogs’.
We celebrate your wins together!
There are heaps of ways we like to say thank you for all your hard work – from shout-outs in meetings, vouchers, lunches and lots of chocolates, to the Auckland team’s monthly and quarterly ‘People’s Choice’ award.
And not forgetting the quarterly Hudson Star Awards and Club qualifiers which could be your ticket to the annual Star Awards black-tie awards ceremony in Australia and beyond!
Give back to the community
We love getting involved in fundraising and charity events, and you can even take one day off per year to work with an organisation that promotes education or career enrichment.
And take some time out
Each quarter you get one extra day's leave - a 'personal day' to use however you wish! We offer extra time and support to complete training relevant to your market or career development, and the opportunity for flexible work arrangements.
We’ve been around for ages and we’re only getting bigger
Each year our team performs better than the last, growing our client base and attracting amazing talent.
In April 2018 our executive leadership team took ownership of Hudson's specialist recruitment and talent management business in Asia Pacific.
We are now the largest privately owned company in the region and we're relishing our new-found autonomy. We have an exciting vision for the future and a roadmap for significant tech investment.

We’ve been around for ages and we’re only getting bigger
We have one of the most tenured and stable leadership teams in the industry in Auckland. The team are loyal and approachable, setting the tone for the office’s values and culture.
There are no egos here - the senior team are working on roles and meeting candidates just like you.
And there's that time we almost launched our boss into space and he was totally ok with it... We are glad he came back though!
Our office is great, we have fresh fruit delivered each Monday, an excellent coffee machine with your very own barista on your first day (our General Manager Tony!), Friday drinks, music playing daily and a fantastic Culture Club offering lunches, activities and nights out.
We’re all good friends here and you’ll always have a great chat in our kitchen.
And let's not forget Payday Pieday Friday...
We’ve been in the Wellington market for 15 years and have a core team of 16 with heaps of room for growth and fantastic career opportunities. Off the back of an outstanding 2018 performance Hudson Wellington is the place to be if you are looking for a supportive environment for your first role in recruitment or you are an experienced recruiter looking for leadership opportunity or want to feel like your contribution is valued and making the maximum impact on the success of the team.
Our Regional Director Adam is big on work-life balance and wellbeing. He leads a wellbeing initiative, where each individual is encouraged to incorporate something into their work week to support a healthy balance. Whether that’s a longer lunchbreak to hit the gym, heading out for a surf, getting along to your child’s ballet or touch rugby, or even just making time to head out for a walk – it’s about you.
Talking about balance, we’re also fresh fruit and chocolate cake fans and love socialising at our end of the working week wrap-up drinks.
Our social committee organises shared lunches, pizza Fridays and we are regularly taking time out to give back to our community through various charity events. We’re a diverse team of skilled professionals committed to the professional development of our people and provide plenty of learning opportunities, along with other great staff benefits.
We’re a tight-knit team of 12 who know how to have fun – we work hard and play hard! There’s music playing daily and each Friday we have drinks and nibbles to wrap up the week. We love celebrating – from recruitment wins, to birthdays, to our amazing candidates (our Business Support team run a ‘temp of the quarter’ competition).
Our social club allows everyone to get the chance to organise some cool fun events for the team, for example a Pink Ribbon fundraiser, and not forgetting the annual Easter Egg Hunt which is a bit of a tradition in our office.
Each quarter when we celebrate the Star Awards we like to tie in a BD (business development) day and get into fancy dress. The latest one was Harry Potter themed…because we’re pretty magical here!
