According to the 2021 Digital Skills forum report, New Zealand is experiencing a skills mismatch rather than a skills shortage. The report suggests that New Zealand has enough graduates and immigrants under IT occupations, but the job market stays focus on senior positions instead.
Our survey shows that almost 60% of employers in Technology, Project and Transformation (TP&T) are expecting an increase in their team's headcount over the next six months. This complex equation might pressure salaries.
